This Privacy Policy applies to your use of the ERKO website (*.erkotag.com) and any other websites, blogs, and web/mobile applications operated by ERKO Company and its affiliates (collectively, for purposes of this Privacy Policy, “ERKO”). Throughout this Privacy Policy, the terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to ERKO Company, and the terms "you", and "yours" refer to the user.

By using ERKO and all services related to ERKO, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. PRIVACY POLICY ON THE ERKO WEBSITE 2.1. Your consent
We can ask for your consent regarding certain kinds of personal information, to provide the services you request.
2.1.1. Ordering
When you provide us with personal information to subscribe, complete a transaction, verify your banking card, place an order for ERKO tracking devices, arrange for a delivery, or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting the information provided and using it for that specific reason only.
2.1.2. Marketing
If we ask for your personal information for marketing purposes, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent or provide you with an opportunity to say no. You may withdraw your consent to contact you, for the continued collection, use, or disclosure of your information, at any time, by contacting us at [email protected].
2.1.3. Surveys and promotions
You may be able to participate in surveys and promotions that can take place, including those needed to obtain and analyze the relevant statistical data required to build the quality ERKO service. If you choose to participate in these promotions, we may request information such as your name, age, email address, mailing address, telephone number, and interests or product preferences. This information is used to enter you into our contests and other promotions. By participating in our surveys and promotions you give us consent to use this information to communicate with you about our products, services, and promotions.
2.1.4. Support
If you contact our support team, we may ask for information such as your name, e-mail address, mailing address, telephone number, order number, and, if you choose to make a purchase, your banking card information. We use this information to assist you and process your transaction.
2.2. Age of consent
If you are under 18, we require that you inform a parent or guardian about this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service, as well as require their consent to this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service before registering with ERKO, subscribing, or placing an order with ERKO.
2.3. Purchase
When you place an order or pay for the subscription, you will be asked to provide the information such as full name, company name and VAT number (if you act on behalf of a legal entity), billing address. ERKO stores this information only for invoice issuing, bookkeeping, and accounting.
We will send you the invoice by email. Simply complete the payment at your bank using the ERKO bank details information supplied. Please allow 2-3 banking days to receive the payment.
2.4. Information we collect by automated means 2.4.1. Visitors
We use analytics tools specified below to help us understand visitor trends and the effectiveness of our marketing outreach. We chose privacy-focused companies and
platforms that eschew personally identifiable information in favor of anonymous aggregate data.
We run Beam analytics. The following information is collected:
Page URL. We track the page URL of each page view on this website. We use this to understand which pages have been viewed and how many times a particular page has been viewed.
HTTP Referrer. We use the referrer string to understand the number of visitors referred to this website from links on other sites.
Browser. We use this to understand what browsers people use when visiting this website. This is derived from the User-Agent HTTP header. The full User-Agent is discarded. For example: Chrome.
Operating system. We use this to understand what operating systems people use when visiting this website. We only use the brand of the operating system and don’t include the version number or any other details. This is derived from the User-Agent HTTP header. The full User-Agent is discarded. For example: GNU/Linux.
Device type. We use this to understand what devices people use when visiting this website. This is derived from window.innerWidth. The actual width of the browser in pixels is discarded. For example: Desktop.
Visitor Country. We look up the visitor’s country using the IP address. We do not track anything more granular than the country of origin and the IP address of the visitor is discarded. We don't store IP addresses in our database or logs. For example: Hungary.
ERKO stands against website visitors' identification, usually performed by big IT companies such as Google, Meta, Apple, Microsoft, etc. That’s why we use only GDPR-friendly analytics tools that don’t identify your personal data when you visit the ERKO website.
2.4.2. Cookies

We work only with famous and approved service providers that use cookies to collect information about visitors' visits to our websites. This information is anonymous and doesn’t personally identify visitors.
We may obtain information about visitors' general Internet usage by using a cookie file stored on their computer’s hard drive. Cookies help us improve the ERKO website and deliver a better and more customized service. They enable us:

We're committed to maintaining transparency about the operations of our service, especially regarding how we interact with third-party services and what that means for your privacy. We partner with services that commit to data protection and privacy standards that align with ours, although their specific practices and policies may differ.

The above third-party services we use to make ERKO work. Your use of ERKO service, along with the integrated third-party services, implies your consent to the privacy practices of both our service and those of the third parties. We encourage you to regularly review the privacy policies of the third-party services and utilize the tools and settings we provide to manage your data and consent preferences.
In addition, it is our policy to never send your payment information (if any) via e-mail. Please note that e-mail is not encrypted and is not considered to be a secure means of transmitting banking card information.
We take appropriate physical, electronic, and administrative steps to maintain the security and accuracy of the information ERKO collects. To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make
sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed. If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

3. PRIVACY POLICY ON ERKO SERVER, ERKO APP, ERKO TRACKING DEVICES, AND OTHER SOFTWARE
3.1. ERKO apps for mobile devices
ERKO is a backend built and maintained by ERKO Company and is used to store and display sensor information as collected by tracking devices ("ERKO Tags").
ERKO app is a mobile or web application installed on the user's device and used to view the data collected from the tracking devices and control user settings.
The data that is collected includes by default:
Current time.
Unique ID and MAC address of the tracking device.
Advertisement data, mobile network data, location, humidity, and other environmental data, from tracking devices.
Telemetry and reliability statistics of the tracking devices: firmware version, uptime, battery health, battery level, sensor parameters and debug information. Location and Internet data of the user device as configured by the user.
MAC address of the user device. The data may optionally include:
Camera and Push Notification access of the user device.
In addition to the data collected, ERKO stores information related to user accounts and settings in ERKO apps. Users can view and modify the below data.
This data includes:
Tracking devices added and claimed by the user.
User-given name and the number of the tracking devices.
Alert limits and ranges of the tracking devices.
Sharing the status of the tracking devices (two-way data).
Email and Full Name associated with the user.
Type and time of ERKO subscription associated with the user account.

In addition, usage data is collected anonymously to improve user experience. Usage data includes:
Number of tracking devices stored in the application.
Crash reports of the application, including debug information.
User engagement data, such as number of installs, uninstalls, and active installations.
Please note:
ERKO apps may connect to the internet to check for updates, but users can disable this in Settings of their operating system.
ERKO app is trying to connect to the internet when you start the application. The app can't be used without internet access.
Third-party services (such as mobile network providers) can capture user-side data and other parameters available to be collected by using a mobile network with tracking devices. ERKO doesn't have access to such information, is not related to any mobile network provider, and is not responsible for the data processing performed by third-party services.
All stored data is processed in the EU per GDPR or in the user's device at the user's location. Data is encrypted in transit between the user device and ERKO servers.
3.2. Subscription
When you subscribe to the ERKO app, we store your subscription information to provide the service.
If your subscription expires, your data remains stored on our servers for one month, then deleted permanently. If you cancel the subscription yourself, your data is deleted immediately. Any local settings and free services on your devices are unaffected.
3.3. ERKO account
To subscribe to the ERKO app, you need to provide an email address and full
We don't share your email with third parties, except payment processors (Stripe). We only send payment receipts and important service updates to your email.
You may choose to delete your ERKO account at any time using the account dashboard, which will permanently delete your account, data associated with your account, and subscriptions.

4. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
ERKO reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time, without advance notice. If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it name.
